Join New Trier eXtention for a long weekend in Madrid. We will plan to leave
Wednesday afternoon returning Tuesday. It will mean taking 2 days off from school, in
addition to the Thanksgiving holidays.
In addition, look for our annual Christmas lunch trip to Copenhagen, the first weekend in December.
The Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce will also hold its annual Julebord in Oslo, we will have further details later.
For an exiting tour over the Christmas and New Year holidays, look for our program to Thailand.
In Februrary of 1999 We will plan a program to New Zealand.
Spring break Mar. 1999 Ecuador and Galapagos.

| Cheetah Safari
– Kenya Day 1. Tuesday arrival at Nairobi and immediately commence on safari with a pleasant drive to a Tree Lodge situated deep in the forest. Throughout the day and night forest animals will visit the waterhole and saltlick, ensuring you many exiting moments. Day 2. Wednesday. In the morning continue to your lodge situated on the shores of Lake Nakuru, one of the beautiful Rift Valley Lakes, also home to thousands of flamingos and other species of birds and animals. There will be afternoon game viewing. |

Day 3. Masai Mara - Continue across the floor of the Great Rift Valley to Masai Mara. You will spend two days in this natural paradise among zebras, wildebeest, giraffe, buffalo, elephant, antelope and gazelle. You will encounter prides of lion resting in the shade of acacia trees or lying low in the grass in wait for their next prey. There is a good chance of spotting cheetah and if you are lucky, the shy leopard. Lunch, dinner and overnight at your lodge.
| Day 4. Early morning and afternoon game viewing with
lunch and siesta at your lodge. In the evening it is time for a well deserved shower and a
refreshing drink before dinner. Day 5. After breakfast return to Nairobi. There you will overnight at the Magnificent Norfolk Hotel. Day 6. After breakfast take a morning tour of the city market and The National Museum. This your takes you through and around the growing capital of Kenya. After lunch on your own take an afternoon tour to The Karen Blixen Museum situated 20 minutes drive outside of Nairobi. Here you will have the opportunity to experience the former residence of the world of the famous Danish writer Karen Blixen and to admire the view of the Ngong Hills from the beautiful gardens. Return to the hotel and dinner is on your own. |

Day 7. After breakfast the day is on your own to explore Nairobi. In the evening you will be picked up at the hotel and taken to a famous restaurant The Carnivore for dinner. Departure time will be approximately 1900. You may wish to visit the International Museum and night club later in the evening.
| Day 8. After breakfast you will
transfer to the airport for your flight to Mombasa. There you will be met by our local
guide who will take you to the Africana Sea Lodge located on the South beach. You will
spend the next 4 nights there. Day 9 to 12. Enjoy the beach of Mombasa. There are good resturants and bars at your own and neighboring properties. At least take a dring at Nomads, next door. For the restless, get a car via the hotel and take a trip into Mombasa city. There you can enjoy a fabulous meal at the Seafood restaurant which is associated with The Carnivore in Nairobi. Day 12. After a very early breakfast prepare to transfer back to the airport for your flight back to Nairobi connecting directlly to your flight to Europe and onward home. |
