Suggested Itinerary for: Scandinavia - A Week in Oslo.

Day 1 Thursday.
Departure from USA home city via Chicago, New York or Seattle
on SAS to Copenhagen, arriving the next morning at 07:30.

Day 2 Friday.
After arrival at Copenhagen in the morning transfer to the Oslo
flight departing approximately one hour later, arriving into
Fornebu mid morning. Take a bus or a taxi on your own to the Comfort
Boersparken Hotel. You can take the SAS bus into the city then
a taxi to the hotel.
You may wish to enjoy a stroll down Oslo's main walking street
Carl Johan. Perhaps an afternoon tour of the harbor front,
and a dinner on your own at one of Oslo's many great restaurants.

Day 3 Saturday
After breakfast you may wish to go shopping for Norwegian
sweaters, the latest in Scandinavian fashion or simply go window
shopping on Carl Johan.

Day 4 Sunday
After Breakfast you may wish to take a tour of the Frogner Park,
see the Holmenkollen Ski jump (which may in fact be closed for renovation)

and Museum, The Thor
Heyerdahl's "RA" Museum and the Viking Ship Museum nearby.
There are many wonderful experiences in Oslo.
A quiet dinner is recommended perhaps at Holmenkollen or in the
city at the waterfront.

Day 5 Monday.
After an early breakfast you have the day for yourself. maybe a
day trip by train to Lillehammer the site of the 1994 Winter
Olympics, or other excursions would be interesting. You
can get to Lillehammer by train.

Day 6 Tuesday
After breakfast you are on your own to explore or visit relatives or
take yet another day tour into the country side.

Day 7 Wednesday
After breakfast the day is yours and you may possibly want to do
some last minute shopping. Enjoy a farewell dinner somewhere
in teh city and remember an early wake-up call.

Day 8 Thursday
After very early breakfast you need to go to the airport early as
your flight will depart from Oslo at approximately 8:30am. You
connect directly to your US bound flights departing at 10:40am.
You need to check-in 1 1/2 hr prior to departure. You will have
just enough time to do some last minute duty free shopping, at the
Copenhagen Airport Duty Free Shopping center being one of the
best in Europe, while connecting between flights. Prices and
available products are much better with a wider selection.


The program offers you Air transportation, three star hotel, cruise
ticket - inside cabin accommodations, based on two persons
sharing a twin, breakfast daily.

Options:
3 day 2 night to Bergen, taking train from Oslo to Flom, then a
fjord express ferry to Gudvang, then a bus to Voss and a train
into Bergen. Spend 2 nights at the Comfort Holberg Hotel
with breakfast. $280.00 and single supplement $95.00

Other options can be arranged, extended stay in Norway or other
destinations in Scandinavia, trips to Stockholm with a 2 night
cruise on Viking Line to Finland.
