Denmark Christmas Shopping and Thanksgiving

A suggested program for individuals.

Day 1.  Wednesday
Depart Chicago or New York on SAS at arrive at Copenhagen next day.


 


 Day 2,  Thursday
 Arrive Copenhagen at 1:10pm. Transfer to the Absalon hotel.  Spend the afternoon perhaps strolling 
down the walking street “Stroeget” to Palae Bar, for a welcome drink.  
Thanksgiving dinner at a local restaurant. 


 

 Day 3, Friday.

After breakfast at the hotel, take a City tour of Carlsberg Brewery.
The afternoon is on your own to explore.  Evening joint dinner at Axelborg 
Bodega. 



Day 4,  Saturday
After breakfast take a tour of the Castle in North Sealand, visiting Frederiksborg Castle 
built by King Chr. IV, today a national Museum.  Continue to the city of Elsinore (Helsingoer) 
and visit the castle of Kronborg - Hamlets Castle.
Late afternoon return to the city.  The evening is on your own.



Day 5, Sunday
After breakfast day on own for shopping and enjoying the Tivoli Gardens 
Christmas Market. 

Day 6, Monday.

After breakfast (if you are up to it) meet for joint X-mas Lunch at Axelborg Bodega. 
Evening is on your own. 



Day 7, Tuesday
After  breakfast take it easy before going to the airport at approximately 1:30pm 
for the flight home, departing at 3:35pm  you arrive at O’Hare at 1740. (B)
