Melsted Badehotel is located on the sea near the small hamlet of Melsted, south of Gudhjem. Although the eastcoast of Bornholm has a rocky coastline, just in front of the hotel you will find a nice sandy beach. After an almost complete renovation Melsted Badehotel today has become a lst class, comfortable, classic beachhotel. The interior is decorated in light pastel colours and furnished accordingly. All the bedrooms have the very best in sleeping comfort with the wellknown double madras beds from Hästens in Sweden. The idea is that our guest shall rest and sleep well at Melsted Badehotel.
Although the island Bornholm is small, it has 3 eighteen hole golf courses. One at RØ, 5 km from the hotel, one south of Rønne and one at Dueodde. Melsted Badehotel offers 'specials' to the golfers including picnic baskets for lunch and discount on green fees to all 3 golf courses. For more information see the section under 'golf'.
We can arrange a flight from Copenhagen and a car waiting at the Ronne Airport you will cross the island and drive to Gudhjem. You can also drive from Copenhagen across Sweden and take a car ferry to the island.
There you will check-in at the Melsted Badehotel offering you excellent accommodations, no tv nor phone in rooms, (available at the front desk). You step right out on the beach from your hotel and you are minutes walk
or bike ride from the quaint little harbor at Gudhjem.
Enjoy your breakfasts on the terrace of the hotel and your other meals possibly at the famous Cafe Klint in Gudhjem, owned by the same family running the hotel. You can rent bikes, for a bike tour of the island. This is a common way for Danish vacationers visiting Bornholm. We can of course also arrange higher category of hotel in Svanneke. We can also arrange weekly rental of summer cottages rented out by local villagers
to the tourists for modest weekly rates.
