Departure for Milan
Day 2, Milan/Lake Maggiore
Milan Airport. Transfer to Tour Bus for Hotel Carlyle Breda
or similar in Milan. Welcome Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Milan. (D)

Day 3, Milan/Venice/Mestre
Breakfast. See Duomo, Vittorio Emmanuelle Gallery, La Scala, Sforzesco Castle,
with local guide in morning.
Independent lunch. After lunch Church of
Santa Maria dell Grazioso to see Da Vinci's "Last Supper." Not Guided.
On to Venice. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Belle Epoque. (B/D)
Day 4, Venice
Breakfast Half day guided walking Tour of Venice, San Marco's shimmering
mosaics. Afternoon free. Optional trip to Murano Glass factory.

Day 5, Vincenza-Verona
After breakfast a local guide will show us Vicenza, a treasure trove of
Palladian architecture. Palladio's first major work, the Basilica Palladina
dominates the piazza De la Signori etc. Independent lunch. After lunch to
Verona, where a local guide will show us around, see the home of Romeo
and Juliet. etc. Return to hotel Dinner and overnight at Hotel Belle Epoque (B/D)
Day 6, Padua-Ravena-Florence
After breakfast depart for Padua. Visit Basilica of St Anthony. Then on to
Ravenna where a local guide will show us the Byzantine mosaics in the 6th
Century church of San Vitale and the Basilica of St. Apollinare at Classe.
Continue to Florence. Dinner and overnight in Florence at the
Hotel Le Due Fontane. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B/D)
Day 7, Academy of Fine Arts Florence
A local guide will take us on a morning visit to the David by Michelangelo and
other unfinished works by Michelangelo. Visit the complex of Santa Maria
Del Fiore, including the Gates of Paradise in the Baptistery.
After lunch on own, Santa Croce, tombs of famous people and a huge
collection of art treasures. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Le Due Fontane. (B/D)
Day 8, Florence - Pisa - Rome
A local guide will meet us for our visit of four major monuments in Piazza
del Duomo, to include the Campanile, which is the famous Leaning Tower.
Continue to Rome. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Nord Nuova in Rome. (B/D)6 481
Day 9, Rome
After breakfast morning Tour of Ancient Rome, church of St. Peter in Chains,
the statue of Moses by Michelangelo, the Forum, Coliseum, monument of
King Victor Emmanuel II, Trajan column and the market. Visit Trivia Fountain.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Nord Nuova in Rome (B/D)
Day 10, Rome and the Vatican
Breakfast at Hotel. If possible, Audience with Pope Our group will be a
acknowledged during the English language portion. Independent lunch.
Afternoon Tour of Vatican Museum Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel Nord Nuova in Rome. (B/D)
Day 11, Rome- Montecasino-Pompeii
After breakfast, leave for Montecasino, the 5th century Abby, where a
local guide will show us around the cradle of he Benedictine Order, the
Monastery of Monte Casino, where he mother house of the Benedictines
was founded by St. Benedict in 529. Lunch on own en route.
Then south to Pompeii where we again pick up a local guide and explore
the incredibly well-preserved remains of this ancient town, where all of life
suddenly stopped by an eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Drive through orange
and lemon gardens to Santa Agata Sui Due Golfi, a charming resort on the
Sorrento Peninsula on the Golf of Naples. Dinner and overnight in Sorrento
at Hotel Majestic . (B/D)
Day 12 Naples
After breakfast, a local guide will show us around Naples and drive through city.
Mergellina, Castel dell Ova, Plebisci Square, The Royal Palace and the Maschio
Angionino. Farewell Dinner and overnight in Naples at a local Hotel. (B/D)
Day 13 Positano-Amalfi-Rome Airport - Home
Positano Belvedere where we enjoy a remarkable bird's eye view of Positano
and the celebrated Amalfi Drive. Lunch on own. Continue to Rome airport
and depart.
