Stopover package

Recommended 3 day stopover in Mexico City

Day 1.

Arrival in Mexioc City transfering to the Hotel Geneva, Mexico's oldest hotel, located
in Zona Rosa (The Pink Zone) on Avenida Londres 132.  This Hotel is a landmark, a Museum Hotel
frequented by such personage at Sir Winston Churchill and other Heads of State.
After check in our guide will take you for a ride and stop at a local sidewalk restaurant for
the famous Margueritas, Tacos and other well prepared snacks.  Mexico city has a polulation of
nearly 20 million people, and unoffially perhaps another 10 million transient workers.
Dinner on your own if you are still up for it.  Overnight at the Geneva Hotel.

Day 2.
After breakfast our guide will pick you for a visit to the Muesum af Anthropology
seeing the history of the Mayan Culture.  This Museum in the Center of the city is fascinating.ou may wish to
It is recommended to have a lunch in one of the many fine resaturants on hte south side of the city.
In the afternoon you may wish to walk down the Reforma, the main Avenue from the Statue of the Angel of Independence a few blocks in the Pink Zone area.  Often there are art and craft shows Saturday afternoon and evening along the sidewalks of the Reeeforma.  On Sundays motor traffic is kept out for walkers, joggers, skate boarders, bicyclists and just people wanting to stroll the Reforma.  In the afternoon you may wish to visit the area of Socolo, the Federal buildings and the government Palaces. Dinner on your own in the Zona Rosa. Overnight at the Geneva Hotel.

Day 3.
After breakfast at the Hotel, check out and prepare to bring you luggage.  Our guide wil pick you up for the one hour drive to the famous Pyramids.  Here you will get the history of the ancient cultures and be able to climb to the top of the Pyramids.  This is quite an experience in itself.  After the climb we recommend a lunch in the restaurant near the Pyramids called La Gruta.  La Gruta is a large Cave which has been transformed into a fine restaurant lit by hundreds of live candles.  After lunch our guide wil bring you to the airport for your late afternoon flight out.

excursions to nearby towns, a drive to Acapulco, flights onward to the Resort cities of the Pacific Coast the Mexican Riviera, or fly you into the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean for a stop on the Yucatan Peninsula visiting Merida, the Island of Cozumel, Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
