Day 1 Thursday 19 Oct
Departure from USA home city via Chicago or Miami to Lima, arriving late afternoon
or early evening. Our guide will meet you and transfer you to the hotel Miraflores
Park Plaza a five star hotel. A welvcome dinner at the hotel is planned. (D)
Day 2 Friday 20 Oct
After breakfast take a city tour of Lima, including a Lima's principal attractions: the
Plaza de Armas, the government Palace, teh cathedral, Barranco, teh modern resi -
dential and garden sections of Miraflores and san Isidro, and then to the famed
National Museum of Archaeology, which contains a priceless collection of pre-
Colombian artifacts, one of the world's most complete. Overnight at Hotel

Day 3 Saturday 21 Oct
After breakfast transfer to the airport for Tacna on Aerocontinente flight departing
about 09:30am. Arrival at Tacna at about 11:00am. Our Guide will meet you and
transfer you to the Tacna Hotel. Afternoon tour to the Habitat Project..

Day 4 Sunday 22 Oct
After Continental Breakfast departure by bus to Arequipa. Arrival at Arequipa and
transfer to the hotel El Portal. Afternoon city tour of the most beautiful colonial
city
of Peru, and the second largest, stands at 8000ft (2900m) in a valley between Andean Peaks
that soar 20,000feet (6800m). Founded in 1540 by Spanish Conquistadors, Arequipa has
retained all of it's Colonial charm. It is called "the White City" because
most of Arequipa is built using cream colored volcanic stone. You will visit the
Santa Catalina Monastery undoubtedly the principal attarction of Arequipa is the Convent
od Santa Catalina, built in 1579. For centuries, the convent had been closed to the
public, until 1970. The city 's restored Colonial architecture and gilded churches
vividly illustartes Peru in the days of the Virreyes.. Overnight at the Hotel El

Day 5 Monday 23 Oct
After Continental Breakfast transfer to the airport depart for Cuzco on Aerocontinente
flight about 08:00am. Arrive at Cuzco at 08:30am where our guide will meet you and
transfer you to the hotel Monasterio. You will start on a tour of Cuzco, which is the
archaelogical capital of South America. You will visit Kenko, Tambomachay, Pucapucara and
Sacsayhuaman.
Cuzco has fine examples of Inca history and architecture, including the Fortress of
Sacsayhuaman, where th Incas made their reigious celebrations - the Inca Baths
with a sophisticated canal system, the Kenko Amphitheater, the Koricancha Temple,
narrow cobbled streets of the inner city and remarkable "twelve-angle stone".
Cuzco is also rich in Colonial heritage. Cuzco lies at 3400m (11,200ft) so upon
arrival, we recommend a short rest to adjust to the altitude. While the climate is
usually sunny and clear, it can be chilly in the evening, and rainy Dec. through Mar.

Day 6 Tuesday 24 Oct
After buffet breakfast transfer to the train station for the all day excursion by alpine
train departure to Machu Picchu . You will arrive at the Aguas Calientes Station and bus
transfer to the ruins and take a guided tour of the citadel. You will have a buffet lunch
at Hotel Machu Picchu Ruinas. The afternoon is free to explore on your own.
Machi Picchu , called the lost city of the Incas, was dicovered in 1911 by Hiram
Bingham, and is actually lower than Cuzco. The beautifully preserved ruins consist
of an enormous stone city hidden by a spectacular terraced green mountain plateau
surrounded by three towering peaks, while llamas roam on its slopes. Overnight at the

Day 7 Wednesday 25 oct
After buffet breakfast morning free to explore on your own. After lunch on your own
transfer to the Aguas Calientes Station for the return Alpine train back to Cuzco.
Upon arrival at Cuzco you will be met and transferred back to the Hotel Monasterio
for your overnight stay. (B)
Day 8 Thursday 26 Oct
After buffet breakfast full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley and the village of Pisac.
The valley is filled with colorful Andean villages, and several beautiful hotels.
One of these villages is Pisac, with its stately ruins and colorful Indian Market Fair and
the famous Ollantaytambo Inca Fortress, last outpost of the Incas. You will visit
The Pisac Market including visit to the Ollantaytambo Fortress and enjoy lunch in the
Valley. Overnight at Hotel Monasterio. (B/L)
Day 09 Friday 27 Oct
After buffet breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight on Aerocontinente to Lima.
flight is scheduled very early at 7:30am and arrival is at 8:30am. Our guide will meet you
and trnasfer you to the Miraflores Hotel. The day is free and in the evening we will have
our farewell dinner.(B/D)
Day 10 Saturday 28 Oct
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight back to the U.S.A. or
your Lacsa Flight on to Costa Rica for continuation of your tour....
Tour includes tour escort, air transportation from Chicago, (can be arranged from
any city at slight variance in cost), all hotels meals tours transfers as indicated. Based
on 2 persons sharing. All taxes, baggage handling.
Not included: matters of personal nature, phone, laundry, alcoholic beverages,
