Day 1 : ARRIVE TOKYO
Arrive at New Tokyo Int'l Airport (Narita Airport) and transfer to the hotel.
(Our staff will meet clients at the exits from customs.)
Accommodations at Hotel Grand Palace for 4 nights.
Day 2 : TOKYO
Morning, half day tour in Tokyo.
Visit Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, drive through Akihabara, Asakusa
Kannon Temple, Nakamise Shopping Arcade & The Tasaki Pearl.
Afternoon, free at leisure.
Day 3 : TOKYO - KAMAKURA - TOKYO
Full day tour by local train and on foot. Morning, Visit Great Buddha, Hase Kannon Temple.
After lunch at local restaurant, visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine.
Tour disband on arrival at Tokyo Station.
Day 4 : TOKYO - NIKKO - TOKYO
Full day excursion to Nikko by motorcoach.
Morning, visit Toshogu Shrine and Irohazaka zigzag driveway up to the mountains
After Japanese-style lunch at local restaurant, visit Lake Chuzenji and Kegon Waterfall.
Irohazaka zigzag driveway down the mountains and drive back to Tokyo. Tour disband on
arrival at Ginza or Shinjyuku.
Day 5 : TOKYO - MT. FUJI - HAKONE
Deluxe motorcoach to the foot of Mt. Fuji via expressway. Then drive halfway up Japan's
highest mountain to enjoy a spectacular view from a height of 2,300 meters. Lunch at Hotel
Highland Resort.
Afternoon, visit to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi and Mt.Komagatake Aerial cableway.
Accommodation at Hotel Hakone Kowaki-en.
Day 6 : HAKONE - NAGOYA - TOBA
Morning drive through the Hakone mountains to Odawara Station and ride a Shinkansen train
to Nagoya. After lunch at Hotel Associa Nagoya Terminal, start for sightseeing in Nagoya,
visiting Nagoya Castle, Tokugawa Art Museum & Ise Jingu Shrine.
Late afternoon, continue train trip to Toba by Kintetsu's limited-express train.
Accommodation at Toba Hotel International.
Day 7 : TOBA - ISE - KYOTO
Morning visit to Mikimoto Pearl Island to see the process of cultured pearls and women
pearl divers at work. Delicious seafood lunch (or meat, if preferred) at the hotel.
Afternoon drive to Ise-Jingu Shrine, Japan's most sacred Shinto center.
Then proceed to Uji-Yamada Station and board a limited-express train for the classical
city of Kyoto.
Accommodations at New Miyako Hotel for 4 nights.
Day 8 : KYOTO - NARA - KYOTO
Morning sightseeing of the city, visiting Golden Pavilion(under renovation in Jan.-Mar.),
Nijo Castle noted for its gorgeous interiors, and Kyoto Imperial Palace (on Sat.,
Sun.& national holidays: visit Higashi Honganji Temple instead). After lunch at Kyoto
Handicraft Center, excursion to Nara, the first permanent capital of Japan. Visit Todaiji
Temple housing Great Buddha, colorful Kasuga Shrine with 3,000 lanterns, and Deer Park
where many tame deer are freely roaming.
Return to Kyoto.
Day 9-10 : KYOTO
Whole day, free at leisure.
Day 11 : KYOTO - TAKAYAMA
Take a Shinkansen for Nagoya.Transfer to a limited-express for Takayama, an ancient,
tranquil city called "Little Kyoto". Afternoon, stroll through Takayama,
visiting Yatai Kaikan Hall, where colorfully decorated traditional festival floats are
displayed; Kusakabe Folkcraft Museum, formerly the residence of powerful merchants under
goverment patronage; and the streets of Kami Sannomachi, which preserve traditional
Japanese wooden houses. Accommodation at Hida Hotel Plaza.
Day 12 : TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - KANAZAWA
Visit the famous morning market of Takayama. Scenic drive by Lake Miboro and along Shokawa
River to Shirakawago, designated in 1995 as part of the World Heritage. Its highlights are
unique structures called Gassho-Zukuri, or joined-hands farmhouses. Then visit Gokayama,
another World Heritage village, where you can experience making Gokayama Washi,
traditional Japanese paper. Continue to Kanazawa.
Accommodation at Holiday Inn Kanazawa.
Day 13 : KANAZAWA - TOKYO
Morning sightseeing in Kanazawa, visiting Kenroku-en Garden, one of Japan's three most
beautiful traditional gardens; Kutaniyaki Pottery kiln; and a stroll through the Nagamachi
Samurai house district.
Afternoon, limited-express and Shinkansen to Tokyo. Transfer to major hotels in Tokyo,
arriving around 7:45p.m.
Accommodation at Hotel Grand Palace for 1 night.
Day 14 : DEPART TOKYO
Transfer to New Tokyo Int'l Airport(Narita Airport) for departure.
Remarks on Japan Package Tours (5th day)
1. Due to traffic conditions, it may be necessary to omit Mt.Komagatake
Aerial Cableway depending on traffic conditions, especially during the following periods:

2. When the driveway up to Mt.Fuji's 5th station is closed in winter and spring, the
motorcoach will drive up to the highest possible point.
3. Other visits may also deleted or substituted depending on traffic and weather
conditions and/or for operational reasons.
