Day 1 Sunday.
Departure from USA home city via Chicago, New York or Seattle on SAS to Copenhagen,
arriving the next day at 1:15pm. (You can choose to travel via the Pacific on United or
others - Pricing may vary slightly)
Day 2 Monday
After arrival at Copenhagen at approximately 1:15pm, there is a layover at Copenhagen
where you will be offered a day room at the Dan Hotel, just outside the airport (or
similar category). You can also choose to take a 3 hour city sightseeing tour instead of
the day room. It is recommended- mended to take a trip into the city center, only a 20
minute cab ride from the airport, and take a stroll down the famous walking street
"Stroeget". There you can find many small bars and restaurants that will offer
you a typical Danish lunch, at very reasonable prices. You can also rest at the Copenhagen
airport, before continuing the journey to Thailand. If you chose to go to the city, you
must go through customs and immigrations at Copenhagen, exiting the transit hall. Make
sure you check-in at the SAS passenger service counter upon arrival, before going into the
city. They will advise you what time you should be back in the transit hall and they will
issue your boarding pass so you are ready to continue the trip bound for Bangkok.
Day 3, Tuesday.
Arrival at Bangkok at 2:55pm where you will be met on arrival by our guide from Turismo
Thai, the Aviation & Tourism Int'l partner company in Thailand. Turn right outside
customs to the end of the arival hall, where tour groups meet, there you will find our
guide, wearing a Turismo Thai ID badge. He will arrange your transfer to the Airport
Hotel. This is located just across the highway from the International terminal.
Day 04, Wednesday.
After breakfast transfer back over to the airport and check-in for your Thai International
flight TG303 departing at 08:30am for Yangon arriving at 09:15am. At yangon you will need
to clear formalities on your own and proceed to the Air Mandalay check-in counter for the
departure to Mandalay on flight 6T331 departing at 11:00am. There possibly will be an
Oriental Express - Road to Mandalay representative at the Thai flight but that is not
certain. First at The Air mandalay counter can you expect so see their representative,
since this is where their group meets. On arrival at Mandalay you will be transferred to
the ship and have lunch on board. In the afternoon you will have a city tour of Mandalay
returning to the ship for dinner and beginning your cruise.

Day 05, Thursday.
After breakfast have an early morning tour to Sagaing. Continue and sail to Bagan, lunch
on board. In the afternoon cruise the yeyarwady river and enjoy a cocktail party and
dinner on board.
Day 06, Friday.
After breakfast arrive at Bagan. There will be a morning orientation tour. Lunch on board.
You will take an afternoon sunset tour or explore Bagan on your own. Dinner on board.
Day 07, Saturday.
Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon. Air Mandalay
flight departs early in the morning and arrives back at Yangon at approximately 10:20am.
At Yangon you will be met by our guide who will take you to the Strand Hotel for lunch on
your own. After lunch you will enjoy a private city tour of Yangon, and early evening
transfer to the airport for your Thai International flight TG306 departing yangon at
7:55pm arriving at Bangkok at 9:40pm. At Bangkok you will be met by our guide who will
transfer you to the Royal Garden Riverside hotel for your overnight accommodations.
Day 08, Sunday
After early breakfast take a tour to the Grand Palace. At noon you need to be checking in
at the Thai International counter for flight from Bangkok. Your flight arrives at Ho Chi
Minh City ( Saigon). You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel The Century
Saigon Hotel. Dinner is recommended at the French Vietnamese restaurant VY.
Day 09, Monday
After breakfast take a full day tour to Tay Ninh, via the Chu Chi Tunnels. You will arrive
back into Saigon early evening and have dinner at Madam Dai's restaurant. Madam Dai is a
personality from the war period, when she served the South Vietnamese government as a
senator, the US governement as a liason and probably the North in some other capacity. We
we will try to get you an audience with her as she is extremely interesting, although
nothing can be guaranteed.
Day 10, Tuesday.
After breakfast take a full day excursion south to the Mekong Delta. You will now
experience the end of the Mekong after it has passed through Laos, Thailand and Cambodia.
This territory is the rice bowl of Indo-China, and an area heavily contested during the
Vietnam War era. On return to Ho Chi Minh City you will enjoy a dinner on the river the
floating reaturant, unless you decide to change that arrangement. Any time you wish to
make changes please arrange that with your local guide. You will arrive back in Saigon
late afternoon. You may wish to take in your last evening with dinner at the hotel, or at
The Continental Hotel or at another local restaurant perhaps taking a drink on the roof
top terrace of the Rex Hotel.
Day 11, Wednesday
After an early breakfast transfer to the airport for you Vietnam Airlines flight for
Danang. Upon arrival at Danang you will be met by our guide and taking a city tour visit
the Museum of Cham Sculpture and you will drive up the coast to Hue. After lunch you will
visit Tu Duc and Khai Dinh's Tombs. You will check into the Century Inn Hue Hotel. Dinner
wil be at the hotel.
Day 12, Thursday.
After breakfast you will take a boat trip on the Perfume River, visit to Thien Mu Pagoda
and the Old Royal Palace. Lunch will be served you will have a little free time for
shopping before going to the Hue airport for your flight to Hanoi. There you will be met
by our guide and transferred to the Hotel Metropole located at 15 Ngo Quyen St. Dinner
will be at the hotel.
Day 13, Friday.
After breakfast you will have a short city tour. Visit The Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, One -
pillar Pagoda, Sword lake Ruins of Co Loa citadel. Lunch and afternoon is on your own to
stroll around the city.
Day 14, Saturday
After breakfast your guide will pick you up for transfer to the airport for your Vietnam
Airlines flight to Hongkong. There you will be met by your local guide and driver and
transferred to your hotel The Kowloon Hotel.
Day 15, Sunday
After breakfast explore Hongkong on your own. We can arrange a tour of The New
territories, Victoria Island and Victoria Peak, and much more.
Day 16, Monday.
After breakfast you may wish to take a day trip to Macau by hydrofoil. This old Portugese
Colony is also quite interesting. You can even visit the Casino there. As you may know the
Chinese love to gamble.
Day 17, Tuesday.
After Breakfast you will transfer to the airport for your flight back to Bangkok. Turismo
Asia will meet you and transfer you to The Royal Garden Riverside. The day and evening is
on your own.
Day 18, Wednesday.
After breakfast transfer to the Bangkok (Hualampong) Railway Station for your excursion on
the Eastern & Oriental Express to Singapore. Your departure is at 11:00am. Brunch will
be served en route to The River Kwai and Kanchanaburi where you will arrive at 2:00pm.
There will be time to explore the war memorial of the River Kwai before departing again at
4:30pm. Your next leg will take you to Hua Hin arriving at 8:45pm. You depart again at
9:00pm for Penang ( Butterworth). Dinner is served on that leg.

Day 19, Thursday.
With breakfast and lunch on board, you will arrive at Penang at 4:00pm. There you will
have some time to explore until departure at 6:15pm. Afternoon tea and dinner will be
served on this leg of your journey.
Day 20, Friday.
At 01:30am you arrive at Kuala Lumpur. After half an hour you continue again for
Singapore. There you will arrive at 09:30am, after breakfast has been served on board. Our
guide will meet you at the Keppel Singapore Station upon arrival and transfer you to The
Marina Mandarin Hotel. After lunch on your own, you will be met for a city tour visiting
China Town and seeing the sights. Our guide will pick you up and drop you back at the
hotel late afternoon. If you like we can arrange high tea at the Singapore Zoo with an
Orangutan. Dinner is on your own.
Day 21, Saturday.
After breakfast it is recommended to take morning tour of the Harbour. This can be
re-arranged for the afternoon if you prefer. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel and
return there approximately 3 hrs later. The remainder of the day on your own. A drink at
the "Long Bar" at the Raffles Hotel may be in order and can be recommended. This
is where the famous "Singapore Sling" was invented.
Day 22, Sunday.
After breakfast the day is on your own. We will arrange a late check-out and you will be
met for your final transfer to the airport for your SAS flight SK972 departing Singapore
at 10:15pm arriving into Copenhagen the next morning.
Day 23, Monday
After arrival at Copenhagen at 0630, you have the choice of continuing straight through to
Chicago, another eight and a half hours flight. I would recommend you break it up and stay
the night. We can arrange a hotel in the city. Should you wish to visit downtown
Copenhagen, take a stroll down the famous walking street "Stroeget", enjoy one
of the many fine restaurants in this city that is more than 850 years old, the distance
from the hotel is only 10 to 15 minutes by taxi. A dinner at St. Gertrud's Kloster or
Egoisten is highly recommended. If you wish to visit a local jazz club or just go to an
up-scale cafe, then Cafe Victor is a good choice. Copenhagen is a 24 hour city.
Day 24, Tuesday.
After breakfast transfer by taxi to the airport, only 20 minutes away for your SAS flight
SK943 bound for Chicago departing at 3:40pm getting into O'Hare at 5:40pm. Welcome home.

accommodations, based on two persons sharing a twin, breakfast daily, all transfers to and
